In the days after the death of a loved one, the funeral service professional is the person who brings peace in a hectic period. As a funeral specialist, I always feel honored to be part of such an intimate process. Together we will work on creating a funeral or memorial service that does justice to the life lived by the deceased. Each life is unique, which makes every burial or cremation just as unique.
Laying out and care
My services start immediately after I receive the first telephone call from you to tell me about the death of your loved one. First of all, I make sure that your loved one is being taken care of at home, or is transferred to a funeral home, depending on your specific wishes. Our care team ensures this process runs smoothly.
Funeral service with cremation or burial
At a later time, I will come to you so we can jointly shape the burial or cremation and memorial service, and work through all the paperwork that is involved. My job as a funeral counsellor is to take away these worries for you. From reporting the death down to every last detail of the important day. In English, if so desired.

What are the options and how can we help?
We are proud to call ourselves funeral specialists, as we have lots of experience with funerals that need that extra bit of attention. I prefer not to use the words “special funerals” when referring to such a farewell, as every funeral is special and unique, as is every life.
But some funeral services require a more specialist approach, because of the way the person died or because of the complexity of the circumstances. And this is where our experience and expertise are important. Based in Breda, The Netherlands, but we operate both national and international.
Repatriation
If a death occurs abroad, or if the deceased has to be moved from the Netherlands to another country, we can help. We have the experience and the required knowledge to take care of all the necessary formalities. We organize transport through our extensive partner network. All communication takes place in English.
Funeral after suicide, crime or accident
We have the experience and expertise to help with a funeral after an unnatural death. Our strong connections with the police morgue ensure a smooth transition, after which we will discuss your wishes together.
My role as a funeral counsellor
I ask the right questions allowing us to create a funeral that is suitable, worthy and personal. My role here is to facilitate. I can help you choose a casket or shroud, put together an obituary or funeral notice, take care of flowers and arrange transport. I can also suggest locations for the funeral or for the wake. From intimate to large. From traditional to exceptional. I am part of a wide network and have information about the various possibilities and suppliers.
The day of the funeral
Following the initial preparations, I will give you time to think in peace about the story that is going to be told and the appropriate music and pictures. I will then visit you again to help you write the last page of the book of your loved one’s life, before it is closed with a gentle touch. This results in a clear plan for the day, where nothing is left to chance.
If you wish, I can also be part of this day to speak or officiate at the service. If desired, I can conduct the service in English or Spanish.
I can also suggest an appropriate photographer or videographer to capture the day for you, if this is one of your wishes.
